PBH 120 - The US Healthcare System

The US Healthcare System focuses on the organization, financing, and delivery of healthcare in the US through exploration of the private and public sectors of healthcare. Students will learn about the interaction of payers, providers, and patients within the US healthcare system in order to understand the issues related to the allocation of healthcare resources among the population. Students will learn about the factors that influence healthcare spending, quality of care, and access to care. Students will also explore the function of health advocacy.
