BIO 232 - Genetics Lab


Semester Offered: every other spring only
Genetics Lab uses an experimental approach to illustrate and explain the basic concepts of genetics, including recombinant DNA techniques and classical, molecular, and population genetics. Students will have hands-on experience with DNA analysis, PCR, Western blots, protein analysis, and simulations to reinforce the topics covered in the lecture. This course will prepare students to employ the techniques used in genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics.
