MUC 263 - Diction for Singers I (Eng./Ital.)

Semester Offered: Fall only
Diction for Singers I (Eng./Ital.) is the study of English and Italian diction as it applies to vocal arts. Students will have the opportunity to learn the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), learn to pronounce English as it applies to singing, learn pronunciation, and demonstrate a basic understanding of Italian words. Throughout the semester students will learn repertoire to apply the techniques learned in class.
