LPN 204 - Practical Nurse Theory
Semester Offered: Summer Only
Practical Nurse Theory emphasizes the role of the practical nurse in patient care in various healthcare settings, including but not limited to, maternity, pediatrics, and psychological. The course introduces family systems theory in the study of childrearing/childbearing families. Study includes growth and development, normal pediatric and obstetric concepts, and stressors affecting individuals and family systems. The course also emphasizes the care of adults and aging clients in various health care settings with a focus on the study of clients with complex alterations in wellness related to pathophysiological and psychological stressors.
