EGL 083 - Integrated Reading and Writing Lab
Integrated Reading and Writing Lab is a supplemental, entry-level course that offers foundational reading, writing, and study skills to support all students enrolled in EGL 093. Emphasis is placed on the building blocks-words, word groups, sentences, and paragraphs-in academic texts, as well as on the tools for success in the academic environment. In the EGL 083 Lab, students complete a series of modules tailored to their individual skill levels, as well as a series of individual conferences with the instructor.
Students may elect to complete the Lab prior to enrolling in EGL 093, or they may take EGL 083 and 093 simultaneously, but they must successfully complete both EGL 083 and EGL 093 before progressing to EGL 101.
